FOR RHODY'S BIG ADVENTURE

Patricia Davis is a professional violinist/violist, passionate educator, and emerging composer based in New York City. Patricia has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, The White House, Madison Square Garden, Radio City and on numerous Broadway shows. Her childhood violin teacher was a student of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, the founder of The Suzuki Method. Ms. Davis is currently on the faculty of The Geneva Conservatory of Music (NYC) where she trains young violinists in The Suzuki Method. Her composition, RHODY'S BIG ADVENTURE, written for her violin students, won 2nd Prize in the 2023 Lowell Mason House Music Education Advocacy Competition. Ms. Davis has been featured as solo violinist on WQXR (NYC) and NPR and has served as jurist for competitions including Juilliard Pre College Concerto Competition. Ms. Davis has performed throughout North America, Europe, and Asia and has collaborated with classical, rock, pop and opera stars in concert, on recordings, and for television. Patricia graduated from The Eastman School of Music, London’s Royal College of Music, SUNY Stony Brook (DMA) and The School for Strings (NYC), where she received her Suzuki Certification. Ms. Davis has always considered teaching as the greatest way to give back and mentor the next generation of string players. Her students are dedicated and committed to a daily practice routine and delight in making music a priority. Patricia has mentored young violinists from the earliest (pre-Twinkle) stages of their musical journeys, seeing them reach their full potential, and playing the most advanced repertoire. Patricia's hope is that she can encourage and instill a passion of music making with her composition
RHODY'S BIG ADVENTURE that will have a lasting impact throughout their lives.
